Aubrey Falls Generating Station Remote Control Panel

Project Summary

Our Team designed, constructed, and commissioned a remote-control and automatic transfer system for the 600V station service switchgear. The project enabled remote control of the switchgear circuit breakers and automatic healthy source transfer. The scope of work included:

• Designed a remote-control panel to allow for remote opening and closing of all the circuit breakers on two sections of 600V station service switchgear.
• Designed and drafted the required control and interconnection drawings for the remote control panel.
• Designed an automatic transfer scheme to transfer the switchgear sections to the healthy source or to standby power utilizing a Schneider Electric M340 PLC.
• Developed all the required PLC logic for the automatic transfer scheme.
• Constructed the remote control panel based on the detailed design drawings.
• Performed complete commissioning and functional testing of the system
