Project Summary

Our team provided full commissioning and start-up services for the new 79 MW condensing steam turbine and associated high-voltage infrastructure. This included protection, synchronization, and transfer trip scheme validation to ensure safe and reliable integration with the mill-wide electrical system. The scope of work included:

• Provided commissioning and start‐up services for the TG6, 79MW condensing steam turbine.
• Tested all the synchronization circuits including the 15kV and 120kV synchronization breakers.
• Tested and configured a mill wide transfer tripping and blocking scheme over fiber optic channels using the SEL mirrored bits platform.
• Commissioned the 120kV protection panel.
• Assembled and filled the 120kV 60/70/80 MVA transformer.
