Alamos – Magino Mine Main Substation Commissioning

Project Summary

As part of the electrical commissioning for the main substation, our team completed the testing and verification of the 13.8 kV medium-voltage switchgear system, associated protection and control equipment, and DC auxiliary systems. The scope of work included:

• Performed comprehensive commissioning and verification services for the 13.8 kV switchgear system, associated protection and control equipment, and DC auxiliary systems.
• Conducted visual inspections, functional and electrical testing, and validation of system interconnections to ensure proper installation and energization readiness.
• Inspected and tested medium-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers, protective relays, current and potential transformers, control wiring, communication systems, and Arc Flash detection equipment.
• Configured, tested, and validated DC systems including battery chargers and battery banks according to industry standards.
• Verified that all equipment met design specifications, protection philosophies, and safety requirements.
